Freshford Lane Junction with High Street the Village Centre
This
photograph shows a car waiting at the junction. Like other road junctions
in the West country what should be a halt at major road ahead is merely a
give way. Fortunately, local people are sensible and usually treat
many of these junctions with great caution and usually treat the junction
as a STOP type.
In this photo the post office and last
village shop is seen next to the surgery

from the opposite side of the road looking up the High Street. The Primary
school is hidden behind the trees and shrubs that are part of the
playground.
Note that the road surface has numerous
patches due to the requirements of gas, electric and communication
services. Whenever this work needs to be carried out there is disruption
to traffic flow.

Freshford Memorial Hall is
the nearest place to park from the village centre but is still about a
quarter of a mile up Freshford lane
